Symposium — “Model Interactions Between Green Initiatives, People, and the Environment Using a Data Science Approach”

Dr. An, Dr. Conghe Song  (UNC Chapel Hill), Dr. Qi Zhang (UNC Chapel Hill), and Dr. Rong Zhang (Auburn University) organized a symposium titled “Model Interactions Between Green Initiatives, People, and the Environment Using a Data Science Approach”. This symposium delved into the simultaneous implementation of green initiatives worldwide, a growing phenomenon of considerable global significance. During the symposium, Ph.D. candidates Ren Cao and Xiaoxiao Wei delivered two great presentations, titled “Drivers and motivations of using biogas plants for households in the Western Chitwan Valley, Nepal” and “Assessing the impact of green initiatives on environmental attitudes and deforestation in Chitwan, Nepal: An agent-based modeling approach”, respectively. Ren also received a prestigious award named “NASA-MSU Professional Enhancement Award”. The College of Forestry, Wildlife and Environment reported this achievement (see the report at https://cfwe.auburn.edu/ren-cao-nasa-msu-award/).
